Parakite training
on Portugal's west coast
We spend the week in Baleal and Peniche. From there, we travel to nearby dunes and coastal ridges for ground handling and flying.
We choose each day's spot according to the wind and conditions. The terrain must suit the group's experience.
We practise control on the ground and in the air, including in stronger wind. Training is adapted to your ability and personal wind limits.

Equipment for the week
Parakites and harnesses are available during supervised sessions: Flare Moustache, Bandit and Scout, plus Flow Albatroxx and Mullet 2. We recommend also bringing your regular paraglider to make the most of the occasional light-wind day. Bring your own helmet.
Normal equipment wear is included. Damage you cause, improper use, loss and necessary repairs are not included in the price.

Janosch Jäggli
Janosch leads the week and coaches the training. He flies parakites himself, has visited Portugal eight times to fly and knows many popular and less-frequented spots.
He is in touch with local pilots and familiar with conditions along the coast. During training, he gives you feedback on your launches, landings and wing control.

You need an SHV licence or IPPI Level 4, recent flying experience, confident launches and landings, and good ground-handling skills. This is not a beginner's course. If you have no parakite experience, contact us before booking. Bring your helmet and accident and third-party liability insurance valid in Portugal for the type of flying you will be doing.
Getting to Lisbon
When searching for flights, compare departures from Geneva, Basel and Zurich. On Saturday, 7 November 2026, no later than 13:00 all participants meet at Lisbon Airport. We then travel to the accommodation together.
If you plan to arrive differently or at another time, please speak to us before booking your flight . Additional transfers are not included in the price.
Only book your flight once the trip is confirmed.
Weather and trip operation
Parakite flying depends on the weather. We adapt the programme and choice of spot each day. We cannot guarantee a specific number of flights or flying hours. The trip runs with at least six participants . There are a maximum of eight places.
